How to Extract in Mistfall Hunter

Extraction is the core survival check: find the active return method, defeat or use the relevant Woodling, secure the return item or portal, and leave before greed or the Gyldenmist costs the run.

Step-by-step extraction flow

  1. Pick a route goal before entering the map and decide what loot is enough to leave.
  2. In Hallowgrove, watch for Returning Chime / Soul Tree-style extraction prompts; public guides describe interacting with the chime, following the butterfly/wisp trail, then defeating the Woodling.
  3. After the Woodling is defeated, use the bell/tree/portal interaction to extract with your haul. Treat the sound and channel window as PvP risk.
  4. If available, Smuggler Woodling-style exits are emergency exits with limited item carry-out, not full-loot extraction.
  5. In Brandrgarde, route planning is more dangerous because public guides describe shrinking Gyldenmyst phases and different Woodling timing/spawn behavior.
